Is Brandon Lloyd for real? Hmm....
Brandon has eclipsed 115 yards receiving in three out of four games and has 454 receiving yards so far this year. But... Do you really think he will have a 1,000 yard season? Right now he is on pace for 100 catches and 1816 yards (Not going to happen). Eddie Royal, Jabar Gaffney and DeMaryius Thomas command catches as well, and Lloyd has never had more than 48 catches and 733 yards in a season. Based on his past I would argue NO! But, Lloyd is having a refreshing comeback to his muted career, and is on pace to easily break 1,000 yards. With Kyle Orton looking better than ever and Lloyd already having 25 catches and 454 yards in 4 games maybe Brandon will prove me wrong; I really hope that he does.

How many current NFL starters are from your school? University of Colorado only has 7
Colorado players that start in the NFL include:
Justin Bannan (Defensive End for Denver)
Lawrence Vickers (Fullback for Cleveland)
Michael Lewis (Safety for San Francisco)
Brad Jones (Linebacker for Green Bay)
Tyler Brayton (Defensive End for Carolina)
Daniel Graham (Tight End for Denver)
Mason Crosby (Kicker for Green Bay)
I can't even imagine what more relevant football schools like USC and Ohio State have. I don't have enough time to make that list. If someone out there from a top 10 school wants to research it, please do and let me know or post it. I would love to know how Colorado compares. I'm guessing it would dwarf my school's list immensely, but that's not to say that I'm not DAMN PROUD of my 7 starters from CU! Big Ups fellas!

Even though I think Elway is the best QB ever (Homer)...
In their careers, Peyton Manning has averaged 30 passing TD's a year (highest ever), while John only averaged 21.
Manning has ten 4000+ passing yard seasons (highest ever) and John has just one.
but...
John went to 5 superbowls and Peyton has only been to 2.
John has 2 superbowl wins and Peyton has 1.
John had 3407 rushing yards and 33 TD's while Peyton has 704 rushing yards and 17 TD's.
So I guess the first breakdown (favoring Peyton) shows why people think of Manning as the best regular season QB ever; And the second breakdown shows that Elway is more clutch in the playoffs and is more of a complete QB becuase he can both scramble and pass the ball.
In the end, you can sway the stats the way you want, and Peyton's passing stats during the regualar season blow Elway's out the water, but I still would want my boy for his all around play.

Timmy Te-Bro is Mr. Jockey!
Simply click on the his name and you will see:
Tim Tebow
You gotta love rookies that take endorsement deals before they even play a down of NFL football. We have another backup QB on the Broncos that did the same thing, and look at how much of a star he is now... Hint: "Now I'm Done!"

Who will be the starting running back?
For the Texans?
Is it the HOT rookie Ben Tate? Will the once up and coming star Steve Slaton make a comeback this year? Or will the the second year back Arian Foster pick up where he ended last year as the starter? I'm sure that Slaton will get a chance to start again, with the condition that he holds onto the ball; but you've got to think that Tate will be mixed in by how early they took him in the draft. Arian Foster is a complete mystery to me this year. Some depth charts have him still listed as the starter, but most evidence points to Foster's carries being few and far between. Toss it up to training camp...
For the Bills?
I've got to think that Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller will play out like Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush. The only thing is that most fantasy experts are predicting to pick Spiller higher than Jackson which wouldn't make any sense if this situation plays out like Thomas and Bush. Hmm... And where will Marshawn Lynch be in all of the this if he doesn't get traded? Awkward!
For the Raiders?
Darren McFadden was supposed to be the second coming of AD. What happened? Is he really second rate to Michael Bush? According to some fantasy experts Michael Bush will get most of the carries. Not that Bush is a bad running back, he would've been a first rounder excluding injury, but come on! Will the Raiders have back-to-back 1st round top 5 picks bust? Sad...

So Chris Johnson wants a new contract? Let's just see how his 2009 salary compares to other running backs...
I'm reading today how the Tennessee Titans are going to give Johnson an additional 2.5 million "signing bonus" on top of his $550,000 base salary this coming season to possibly make him end his current holdout. The only thing that I'm thinking when I hear this news is: How much do other starting running backs make in salary (that are obviously not on the same level talent-wise as Chris Johnson)? Because right now Johnson is probably the best running back in the NFL. No offense Minnesota fans. So here are the 2009 base salaries for starting running backs:
Jones-Drew, Maurice $13,100,000
Jacobs, Brandon $11,506,110
Bush, Reggie $7,089,940
Tomlinson, LaDainian $6,731,630
Jackson, Steven $5,507,280
McFadden, Darren $5,391,760
Moreno, Knowshon $5,080,000
Ward, Derrick $5,006,760
Mendenhall, Rashard $4,801,240
Gore, Frank $4,350,000
Grant, Ryan $4,250,000
Johnson, Chris $4,249,680
Benson, Cedric $3,750,000
Brown, Ronnie $3,608,399
Buckhalter, Correll $3,004,810
Wells, Beanie $2,790,000
Jackson, Fred $2,253,770
Jones, Julius $2,000,000
McCoy, LeSean $1,680,123
Portis, Clinton $1,252,280
Greene, Shonn $1,215,000
Turner, Michael $1,007,280
Peterson, Adrian $760,330
Williams, DeAngelo $745,000
Rice, Ray $735,760
Addai, Joseph $718,720
Maroney, Laurence $697,280
Barber, Marion $624,420
Harrison, Jerome $539,160
Thomas, Pierre $465,590
Slaton, Steve $392,280
Smith, Kevin $391,370
Charles, Jamaal $390,200
Forte, Matt $388,120
I highlighted some of the best running backs in the league last year to give some perspective. I just want to all of you to sit there and marinate on what some of these players (that only average a 5 year career) are making and what they are producing!

What kind of deal can the Broncos offer Champ Bailey for an Extension?
Champ is coming off a season where he made 9 million for the year. Now the Broncos need to either resign him or let him go elsewhere, the question is how much is he worth at this stage of his career? He just turned 32, he only has 4 interceptions in the last 2 years, and his tackles are going down per year. Now, I'm not saying that Champ is completely over the hill; I think he is still a top 5 cornerback in the NFL. But the question is: How many years does he have left and how much is he worth at this stage? Maybe 3 years, 28 million? Maybe less? The only thing I know is that Josh McDaniels is stalling on making the decision because of Champ's age, recent numbers, and how important it is to pay max money to the CB position. But general Denver fans don't want to see Champ leave, and they would again be upset with McDaniels if Bailey did leave. So... What's your offer Josh?

My BOYS (University of Colorado) are about to steal USC's football crown in the PAC-10...
At first I didn't have much information and reasoning of why the Big 12 is breaking up and why my school, Colorado, was considering moving to the Pac-10. The only thing I thought about was: What would happen to our rivalries with Nebraska and Texas? Would the rivalries die? Could they stay intact while existing in different conferences? I would HATE, HATE to no longer have teams to HATE! But new beginnings and money are always good for team moral. And in light of USC getting slapped for cheating, and Masoli getting the ax from the Ducks, we can now TAKE OVER THE PAC-10! Oh wait, Jake Locker...
