Where are the articles and news stories about PRATER??!! Tebow needs to point towards Matty P, and then to the sky...

The media is going crazy about Timmy T when they should be giving equal love to Matty P. Prater has kicked a respectable 4 game winning field goals (2 of which were over 50 yards) and one 59 yard game tying kick in the 7 wins that the Broncos have reeled off with Tebow starting this year. I might also note that 3 of the game winning kicks were in OT, and I'm not sure what the record is for most game winning OT field goals in a NFL season, but Prater has to be up there in the rankings. Could the lack of Prater love due to the fact that he doesn't outwardly show his religious beliefs, isn't physically imposing, dawns a mustache and tattoos, and is a kicker? Hmm...

3 basics of why the Broncos are winning: Established Run Game, Limited Turnovers, Solid defense/Pass rush

It's not complicated. The Steelers and the Ravens are consistently solid, and why? For the same reason the Broncos are winning right now.

Papelbon a 50 million dollar Philly??!!

Yup, the closer with the meanest stare down in MLB is now part of the REAL dream team in Philly... The Phillies pitching staff.

Josh Cribbs playing running back?

It's been rumored by a local Clevland paper that he will start getting reps running the rock. Maybe take a quick look at your fantasy football waiver wire to see what his status is.

Let's not forget who the real FACE of this Penn State tragedy is: JERRY SANDUSKY!!

All I see and hear today in sports news is about Joe Paterno "Joe Pa" and the shame that he should have based on the sex scandal at Penn State; and I do agree with the fact that Paterno should have done more to end the situation. But, let's talk about the ACTUAL SITUATION, and who the ACTUAL CRIMINAL is here.

Jerry Sandusky is a sick, twisted pedophile who raped innocent boys and who's face should be all over this story, not Joe Pa's. At this point I think a lot of people might mistake Joe Pa as the actual criminal because of how much his face has been attached to every story about the scandal. All I'm asking is for our top media outlets to plaster the face of Sandusky on every article and news story instead of Joe Pa's. Sandusky is the true villian here and people need to recognize that.

Tebow is a joke? Not completely. The Broncos defense a joke? Pretty much...

Sure, Tebow's completion percentage is around crap percent (46%) and he needs to stop fumbling the ball (4 times in 2 games), but Tebow is averaging about 230 overall yards per game and has 3 passing touchdowns in 2 games with only 1 interception. These stats are not the worst I've ever seen. The Broncos poor defense can not be ignored as they gave up 4 touchdowns to the Lions, and are the second worst team in football giving up almost 29 points a game.

What should the Tebow Nation (USA) predict for his stats against Miami this weekend?

I am just going to estimate for my boy Timmy TeBRO this weekend: 217 yards passing, 66 yards rushing, and 3 touchdowns. Oh wait... I cheated... These are the average stats of the three games he started last year, and I guess we'll have to see if the 2011 model of Tebow has been upgraded from the 2010 version. There also is the possibility that the 2011 Tebow has been all showroom hype, rusting from within and broken down. HA. Hope not...

Philadelphia is no longer the dream team: Ronnie Brown is gone

OK... The "Dream Team" never existed in Philly, but now that Brown is gone Vince Young can officially stop labeling them that. Brown is a DETROIT LION; he was traded today for Jerome Harrison and a undisclosed draft pick. He's got to be happy to step into a situation where he can actually contribute to a team that is a lot better than the so-called "Dream Team". The situation right now is perfect for Brown coming into Detroit; Jahvid Best is injured, backup RB Jerome Harrison is gone, Detroit's other backups Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams are mediocre, Brown is completely healthy, and he's getting a great passing game to back him up. Talk about hitting the trifecta plus more...

Antonio Brown: Is this guy the real deal?

After two straight weeks of at least 4 catches for 67 yards a game, Brown seems to be on the up and up. He was targeted a reported 8 times last week, which was the most on the team. I'm not sure if I'm buying that he's the #2 receiver above Hines Ward yet, but he's definitely making waves statiscally for fantasy waiver wires. I personally think he could be the real deal and will overtake the older Ward.

Eric Decker: 1000 yard season?

OK, so technically Eric Decker is the Broncos 3rd receiving option. But, right now Decker is leading the Broncos is receptions (8), yards (166), and touchdowns (2) thanks to the injuries of Brandon Lloyd and Eddie Royal. At this pace Decker would be on pace for 64 catches, 1328 yards and 16 touchdowns on the season; but we all know that probably won't be the case. He'll probably get around 40 catches, 700 yards and 6 touchdowns by season's end, but who am I to say what the health of Lloyd and Royal will be. This is why I would put the odds of Decker getting 1000 yards at about 35%. If Lloyd's injuries keep lingering on, then Decker could be in line for a big season.

Will Scotty McKnight make the Jets?

I know, the only people that truly care about this issue are University of Colorado football folk; but I really do think 7th round pick Scotty McKnight has the Wes Welker-ish type of talent to make the squad. He's small, fast, and shifty; which is perfect for a prototypical slot receiver. He's got great hands, AND... he's best friends with Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez. But, in what might be the make or break factor, he has one positive and negative stat going for him. He caught a touchdown pass in the last game of the preseason, but that was the only pass he caught in the four preseason games. So what does that mean in terms of him making the team? Hmm...

I'm hoping my fellow Buff makes the Jets 53, but if I had to bet money on it, I'm not sure I'd bet the bank.

In my opinion...

Lebron must make two 3-balls and shoot around 50% from the field in order to keep the Mavericks on their toes and ultimately win the game tonight. Assists and points are negligible! Just something to look at as the game unfolds.

Two must-have dark beers for the NBA Finals

I can't wait to get a hold of an ice cold, fresh out of the freezer glass and pour some cold Alaskan Oatmeal Stout in it for the game tonight! Please take my advice and do the same. Maybe try Stone's Smoked Porter as well.... Dirk and LeBron would be proud of you.

Who is the best Golf player in the world right now???

I don't think there should really be any debate of who the top two players in the world are right now; and Mr. Woods is DEFINITELY not in there. Based on average finish in the last two years and the money list, the only two names you need to know are DONALD and KUCHAR.

Matt Kuchar had the highest average finish (15.3 avg) among qualified players and finished 1st in prize money in 2010. Meanwhile, in 2011, Luke Donald is 2nd (Kuchar is 3rd) in average finish and first in prize money. So, based on these stats it's close to a toss up between the two. But I would give the edge to Kuchar for completely dominating 2010 and keeping the consistancy in 2011.

BRING ON NIKE! I can't wait to see their new line of MK hats and clubs...

Was D Rose REALLY the MVP?

OK, I'm not going to tell you why he shouldn't have been MVP, because he has plenty to back up his cause, except for his stats compared to Lebron's.

Will my Colorado BOY Alec Burks go higher in the NBA draft than Connecticut phenom Kemba Walker?

One draft board has Burks going at the #8 spot and Walker at the #18 spot, and yet other boards have Burks in the mid-teens. Kemba Walker has been all the talk of this NCAA tournament and that's sure to boost his stock come draft time. The only problem is that he's 6 feet tall. Burks is a MJ-like 6'6" athletic scoring type. That being said, I have a feeling that the national hype surrounding Walker will put him ahead of Burks and maybe into the top 5. If UCONN wins the tourney this coming week on the back of Walker I believe this question will be put to rest. Burks can also boost his stock by leading Colorado to the NIT championship this week. In the end, this should be an interesting toss-up of who steps up bigger this week.
